Rachel was born March 26, 2002 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. For the past 4 years she has led a normal child's life. She went to gymnastics, played with her brother Gregory and went to school.
Then on Aug. 28, 2006 what was suppose be her 1st day back to school she received some bad news. She was diagnosed with Leukemia, and from that day her world has been turn upside down. Now she takes horrible med's and chemo once a week not to mention all the bone marrow testings and spinal taps.
Her recovery will be long, approx. 3 years. If you would like to help with the medical expenses we will forever be grateful but money is not all, we also need your prayers.
She also has another web site. We have placed a link if any of you want to continue with her progress in her day to day long road to recovery.
Our little princess is in good spirit, however she is well aware of this nightmare and she sure doesn't like it.
We hope that who ever comes to visit if nothing more it makes you aware of this terrible illness that strikes our children with no whys and no warnings. It's very sad and frustrating.
We hope you follow our journey as we hope and pray that she will one day be a cancer survivor.
Faith consists in believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe."
